X8 is a stable cryptocurrency built on Ethereum as an ERC-20 compliant token completely backed by a basket of assets that includes: 8 soverign currencies (USD, EUR, JPY, AUD, GBP, CAD, CHF, and NZD) and gold. X8X tokens are exchangeable for the underlying currencies by the token's issuer with 0% fee, according to the project's website. Currencies backing X8's stablecoin are deposited in the Swiss UBS AG, are insured by the SwissRE AG, and are audited daily by JP Fund Services.
