WalletConnect is an open-source protocol that facilitates secure connections between decentralized applications (DApps) and cryptocurrency wallets by generating QR codes or deep links. It enables users to interact with DApps directly from their mobile wallets, enhancing the Web3 user experience. Originally developed by WalletConnect Inc (now Reown) , the project now operates independently under the WalletConnect Foundation. Reown, the rebranded former company, continues separately.
