Talus Network is an on-chain platform for building and running autonomous AI agents. It provides Nexus, a framework that defines agent workflows as DAGs with on-chain packages and a tool registry, plus an off-chain “Leader” service that executes external tools and returns results to the workflow. The on-chain components are initially deployed on the Sui blockchain in Move, with non-essential data stored on Walrus.
Talus Network was established in 2023 with a mission to democratize access to artificial intelligence and enable AI agents to circulate computing power, models, and intelligence in a decentralized manner. The project secured its initial funding of $3M in February 2024 from investors including Polychain Capital (lead), Hash3, WAGMI Ventures, Inception Capital, TRGC, and dao5. The seed round was followed by another $6M from Foresight Ventures, Animoca and others.
In September 2024, Talus Network launched Nexus - the world's first fully on-chain agentic framework for autonomous AI agents.
In 2025, Talus Network focused on partnerships and its infrastructure. In January, they partnered with Exponent AI to unlock "advanced intelligence and collaboration among blockchain-based AI agents". At the same time, Talus also partnered with Sentimint to enable key capabilities for Sentiment through Talus's AI agents.
February saw Talus's partnership with Walrus, a decentralized data storage solution, bringing decentralized data storage, allowing for the creation of a robust foundation for AI-driven applications on-chain.
In April, Talus integrated with ZO, bringing AI agents to ZO's trading platform to make trading more accessible and efficient. Talus also unveiled Nexus v1 upgrade.
In May, the project partnered with SuiNS to provide human-readable identities for AI agents created within the Talus ecosystem. By working with SuiNS, the team integrated naming features directly into Nexus onchain workflows, allowing for seamless identity assignment during agent deployment.
While in June, the team was able to partner with NODO to integrate intelligent capital deployment capabilities into the Talus ecosystem, and with Swarm Network to expand its orchestration capabilities by embedding Talus’s execution layer into its no-code platform.
By August the team announced that Super B will integrate Talus Agents to power web3 gaming. This partnership accelerates ecosystem growth by securing a pool of experienced game developers for IDOL.fun while also showcasing how Nexus can power external integrations beyond our core platform.
In September the team restructured by separating their Foundation and Labs teams.
In November 2025, Talus Labs announced the launch of their Twitter Space series which focuses on AI and AI agents in crypto, with the first episode taking place on November 6th.
