Stable is a Layer 1 blockchain platform where USDT functions as the native gas token. It facilitates free peer-to-peer USDT transfers and is designed to support real-world payment applications by integrating stablecoin usage directly into its core infrastructure.
In June 2025, The Stable team has introduced Stable, a new L1 blockchain designed with native integration of USDT as its gas token. Backed by Bitfinex and Tether (USDT0), Stable introduces infrastructure built to support dollar-denominated on-chain activity. Within weeks the project announced a $28М seed round to build stablecoin‑optimized payment rails, followed in late 2025 by strategic partnerships and a public testnet release.
By September 2025, The LayerZero team has announced that PayPal USD (PYUSD) was available through Stargate Hydra as a permissionless token with the PYUSD0 ticker. The integration extended PYUSD from its native deployments to Stable, alongside additional networks.
In November, the team announced the launch of its public testnet, enabling developers to deploy, test, and interact with the Stablechain. The Testnet includes a public RPC endpoint for network interaction, a faucet for requesting test USDT, and a block explorer for viewing contracts and on-chain activity. It also features system modules that support native USDT transfers and fee settlement.
