Opinion is a prediction exchange that transforms economic insights into tradable markets. By combining AI oracles, on-chain trading infrastructure, and DeFi composability, Opinion enables anyone to act as a market economist, trading global macro signals without institutional barriers or expensive terminals.

History

Opinion Labs was formally established in 2024 to build a suite of products including decentralized prediction markets, opinion markets, and consensus oracles.

In August 2024, Opinion Labs completed its first funding round, securing undisclosed seed funding from YZi Labs (formerly Binance Labs) and other investors. The project subsequently announced a second, more substantial seed round on March 18, 2025, raising $5M and led by YZi Labs, with participation from Amber Group, Animoca Brands, Manifold Trading, echo, and other institutional investors.

In March 2025, Opinion Labs launched its testnet on Monad Blockchain, allowing community members to participate in early testing and earn points for a forthcoming airdrop. The core product, O.LAB - a fully decentralized and permissionless prediction market platform - leverages a central limit order book (CLOB) architecture and supports any ERC-20 token as a trading pair, enabling market creators to use project tokens, stablecoins, or alternative assets as mediums of exchange.

As of November 2025, Opinion Labs operates with a community-driven airdrop program and active points-farming engagement across its testnet. The platform's approach to transforming human opinions into tradable assets reflects broader trends toward decentralized prediction markets and collective intelligence infrastructure, positioning Opinion Labs alongside emerging competitors in the opinion-as-a-service and events-trading verticals.
