OpenServ.ai is an applied AI research lab focused on building the infrastructure for autonomous agents. They are developing a multi-agent orchestration platform designed to allow users to automate complex tasks across Web3, DeFi, and Web2. The platform combines AI frameworks and protocols with a focus on user simplicity.
OpenServ launched as a full-stack infrastructure platform to support the next era of AI-native crypto entrepreneurship. Founded by Tim Hafner and Lucas Hafner.
In early 2025, OpenServ released critical technical insights for multi-agent systems, emphasizing autonomous orchestration, resource allocation, and robust composability. Throughout Q1 and Q2 of 2025, OpenServ rolled out agent workflow upgrades, documentation, and public-facing SDKs, while introducing innovative primitives like "Shadow Agents" - autonomous, low-friction modules that operate invisibly within team structures, enhancing collaboration and delegation.
March 2025 brought a major conceptual leap - OpenServ detailed "Fractional Ownership of AI Agents," enabling multi-user, investor-driven ownership models for agent-powered revenue streams. This innovation unlocked new funding and operation paradigms for AI startups and collaborative projects.
In July 2025, the team introduced Browser Use, allowing team-controlled agents to directly operate within browser contexts and expanded the scope of AI-powered applications.
OpenServ also unveiled the “Crypto x AI Y Combinator” - a cohort-based accelerator program for agentic startups. The roadmap and batch updates highlighted transitions from plug-in heavy, brittle agent platforms to OpenServ’s leaner, composable framework.
OpenServ introduced its Platform V1 in October 2025, offering visual, no-code agent workflows, on-chain backend, and one-click deployment across Base and Solana chains.
