About

OpenOcean is a DEX/DeFi aggregator that provides a one-stop decentralized crypto trading solution. It aggregates liquidity across multiple blockchains, allowing users to swap tokens at the best rates with high efficiency. OpenOcean also offers limit orders, cross-chain swaps, decentralized perpetual trading, and the ability to buy crypto with Visa/Mastercard/Wire. Additionally, OpenOcean provides staking and governance, liquidity pools, farms and vaults, and ETH liquid staking.

History

OpenOcean is one of the first on-chain crypto transaction aggregation protocols with a focus on deploying liquidity aggregation on multiple decentralized and centralized exchanges (DEXs and CEXs). The project was established at the end of 2019 and its first protocol version was released in September 2020.

OpenOcean's intelligent routing algorithm finds the price and lowest slippage for traders across centralized and decentralized exchanges with no additional fees. OpenOcean will continue to support cross-chain swaps via bridges and cross-chain protocols, and aggregate more DeFi & CeFi products such as derivatives, lending & Insurance products in the future. The vision of OpenOcean is to be a full aggregator for crypto trading that serves as a bridge between fragmented DeFi and CeFi markets.
