History

LooksRare launched their platform on January 10th, 2022. In addition to their platform launch, LooksRare airdropped the platform’s native token, $LOOKS to users based on their trading volume in ETH. Users were able to claim the airdrop after listing an NFT on LooksRare and the airdrop accounted for 12% of total supply. LooksRare differentiates itself as a community owned NFT marketplace by allocating all platform fees back to users staking $LOOKS. Additionally, project creators are paid at point of sale, which is contrasting to other popular NFT platforms.
