History

Founded by Jarindr Thitadilaka and Akaradet Diawpanich, Guildfi intends to be an index of the Web3 gaming ecosystem. With the explosion of play to earn games, GuildFi is focused on increasing access to games with a gaming scholarship program that lends in-game assets to new players. After multiple successful rounds of funding GuildFi is already the largest Web3 gaming scholarship fund in Thailand with over 1000 gamers already accepted into the program. Unlike other gaming guilds and scholarship funds, GuildFi provides interoperability across different games and guilds with their GuildFi ID. Players with a GuildFI ID are able to track their achievements and statistics across multiple games as well as unlocking other benefits such as exclusive NFTs, quests, and additional in-game experience. In November of 2021 GuildFi raised $6 million in seed funding before raising an additional $139 million in December through their token launch auction. GuildFi owns over $7 million of in-game NFT assets that it lends to scholars. These assets are used to generate additional revenue for the GuildFi ecosystem while also putting in-game assets in the hands of players that wouldn't normally be able to afford them. The play-to-earn games that GuildFi is currently focused on are Axie Infinity and Cyball. In summary, GuildFi is aiming to be an interconnected ecosystem of Web3 guilds, assets, and games that will enhance the experience and opportunity for players.
