Gearbox Protocol is a lending and leverage infrastructure that links ERC 4626 lending pools with account level margin engines. Liquidity providers deposit assets into segmented pools and receive Diesel tokens that track their share and accrue interest and protocol fees. Leverage users borrow from these pools through Credit Accounts which act as leveraged DeFi wallets and collateral containers for multi step strategies. All trading and farming occurs on integrated third party protocols while Gearbox manages borrowing limits, health factors and liquidations through its modular architecture.
