About

Allora is a deAI network designed to aggregate, evaluate, and improve machine learning models. Its core product is a self-improving decentralized AI network that allows applications to access more intelligence without relying on centralized providers. The network operates by combining multiple AI models' predictions, with evaluation and weighting of each model's output to improve accuracy over time. The models are organized in specialized sub-networks called "topics," each dedicated to specific tasks like price prediction or sentiment analysis.

Allora's architecture includes:

  • Workers: AI models producing predictions.
  • Reputers: Agents evaluating the quality of predictions.
  • Validators: Blockchain validators ensuring the network's security and operations.
  • Consumers: Users requesting intelligent predictions.

The network is built on a Cosmos-based layer 1 blockchain, aiming for decentralized, transparent, and verifiable AI services.

History

Allora Network is a decentralized ML and AI infrastructure project that originated in 2019 under the name Upshot. Founded by Nick Emmons (CEO) and Kenny Peluso, both former blockchain engineers at John Hancock, Allora Labs was established in New York as a software research and development lab with an initial focus on NFT appraisals and valuation models. The company later evolved its mission toward building a broader decentralized AI network, ultimately rebranding to Allora as the scope expanded to encompassing collective intelligence and coordinated ML model infrastructure.

From February 2020 onwards, the team announced seed round $1.25M, which was followed by an additional funding bringing the total funding to over $30M. Some of the key backers include Polychain Capital, Framework Ventures, CoinFund, Blockchain Capital, Archetype, Slow Ventures, Mechanism Capital, Delphi Digital, CMS Holdings, ID Theory, and angel investor Stani Kulechov.

In early 2024, Allora has partnered with stc Bahrain through its web3 Launchpad Program to advance decentralized AI and blockchain ecosystems in the Gulf region.

In February 2024, Allora announced the launch of its Edgenet testnet phase, marking a critical step toward mainnet deployment. Furthermore, the project also published its litepaper on February 28, outlining the network's technical architecture and vision for decentralized AI. By March, the team introduced a community program to expand its ecosystem engagement.

In May 2024, Phase 1 of the Allora Points Program went live to incentivize early network participants. Participants can earn Allora Points through a variety of on-chain and off-chain activities.

By October 2024, Allora partnered with Monad to enhance decentralized application development through integration of AI and collective intelligence.

By February 2025, Allora Network officially launched its mainnet Beta Developer, transitioning from testnet phases to full production. In addition to that, Allora elevated onchain AI agents with new Python and TypeScript SDKs.

By May 2025, Allora highlighted major partnerships with Grix, Brahma, Mantis, and others for autonomous trading and liquidity management.

In June 2025, the team announced the Allora Agent Accelerator Cohort 1 to support builders. Cohort 1 was limited to a select group of agent teams actively building with Allora, who are encouraged to apply or connect via social channels.

In October 2025, the Allora Foundation has introduced the ALLO tokens, a utility token for the Allora Network, designed to facilitate decentralized AI and collective intelligence across agents, DeFi, and prediction markets. ALLO enables users to pay for inferences, stake, and participate in governance, with rewards distributed based on contribution impact.

By November 2025, the Allora team also announced the integration of Katana with the Allora mainnet, introducing a native intelligence layer to Katana’s DeFi stack. Additionally, the ALLO token was listed on Kraken and Coinbase.
