Instead of forking Bitcoin, as many projects decided to do in 2017, eBitcoin chose to model many of Bitcoin’s design principles as an ERC-20 compliant token built on Ethereum. The project describes the token as “as a tokenized version of Bitcoin’s core ideals on Ethereum.”
