👾 Waves' decentralized exchange had a six million USD debut, then it got hacked

According to data provided to CoinDesk by Waves ($WAVES), the company's new decentralized exchange (DEX) was facilitating six million dollars worth of crypto transactions a day in beta testing last month and had 90,000 traders using 33,000 wallets. Its impressive performance is likely thanks to its speed, easy token issuance, and optional KYC policy. Nevertheless, on Tuesday July 24th, 2018, Waves was hijacked by hackers and the exchange website and the company's main site were used to phish for users' personal wallet information.
