An analyst’s job in crypto is unlike any other. For starters, the public nature of blockchains means that every piece of on-chain data imaginable is at your fingertips. Want to know how many Bitcoin transactions over $100k have occurred and compare that to major stablecoins? Or maybe you need the liquidation price of every ETH collateralized loan across the major lending platforms? All this and more exists on thousands of nodes running across the world. The only issue is how to properly surface this information.
When you begin your analyst job in Finance, you quickly become intimately familiar with your Bloomberg Terminal, S&P Cap IQ, Factset, etc. These tools have become ubiquitous across the industry as they’ve been honed over decades to provide professionals with the analytics they need to reach actionable conclusions.
In crypto, it's not as easy. The data + analytics providers are scrappy startups that are constantly learning new ways to satisfy their user base. Furthermore, many of the best products have only come into existence in the last few months so industry participants may not be aware of or at least knowledgeable on how to use them. As these companies continue to carve their niche, it will be increasingly vital for professionals to know what’s out there and how they can utilize the array of tools to meet their needs.
The following is a list of tools I use every day to produce research, inform personal investing decisions, and satisfy my curiosities. (Note the DeFi leaning as that’s where I spend most of my time)

Dune Analytics
Without a doubt, Dune is by far my most frequented analytics site. It provides a number of pre-set dashboards that provide key metrics needed to assess the health of the industry.
