The Sandbox Joins the Messari Registry

We’re excited to announce that The Sandbox has joined the Messari Registry. As a participating project, The Sandbox team has committed to transparency by providing regular project updates.

The Sandbox is a virtual world where players can build, own, and monetize their gaming experiences using non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and $SAND, the platform’s utility token. Players can create digital assets in the form of NFTs, upload them to the marketplace, and integrate into games with The Sandbox Game Maker. The Sandbox virtual world is made up of LAND – digital pieces of real estate – in The Sandbox metaverse that players can buy to build experiences on top of.

The Sandbox platform is already live in beta composed of 166,464 LANDS parcels, out of which 40% have been sold over the last 12 months for over $2.5M USD. The $SAND foundation supports 17 in-game projects and collaborates with hundreds of creators within the virtual world. Its public beta will be open for players in 2021.
