Aragon is one of the highest-profile DAO projects in the crypto ecosystem with an average of 144 active monthly active organizations and nearly 1,300 total DAOs created.

Recently we examined two of the most utilized DAO structures, DAOstack and Moloch. However, when compared to the other three major DAO types (Colony, Moloch, DAOstack) Aragon DAOs lead the pack in various categories.

Aragon DAOs, by far, are more capitalized than their counterparts. Seven Aragon DAOs currently hold over one million dollars in assets. The only other DAOs in this category are dxDAO and The LAO.

Even by measuring a DAO’s total lifetime value – current capital plus capital deployed – Aragon DAOs lead the field by an order of magnitude compared to most DAOs. Moloch and dxDAO are the only DAOs that breach the top 10. Metacartel and The LAO earn an honorable mention for being just outside the cutoff.
