Tendermint says last month’s Cosmos vulnerability exposed security loophole

The for-profit company behind Cosmos ($ATOM), Tendermint, disclosed a vulnerability in its 2018 staking module tool kit. The vulnerability, met with an emergency hard fork passed on May 31st at block 482,100, allowed exploiters to bypass misbehavior penalties “and have their funds immediately become liquid essentially insta-unbonding," according to the team.
