SOL closed the month at $118, a 14.6% MoM increase from August's $103 close. SOL slipped below $100 in mid-September as markets braced for the Fed, which delivered a 25 basis point hike on September 16th. The market delivered a muted reaction to the first rate hike by the Fed since 2023, and later rallied as the SEC issued a five-year innovation exemption for tokenized NMS stocks as part of a series of crypto-related regulatory announcements following the failure of the CLARITY Act.

On a relative basis, SOL outperformed across the board, with SOL/BTC rising 7.7%, SOL/ETH rising 5.3%, and SOL/HYPE rising 6.0%.

September saw every constituent in the index close positive. BP led with a 226% return, followed by SANC (rebranded from CLOUD) at 170%, RAY at 139%, KMNO at 82%, and MPLX at 74%. META, up 10%, was the month's weakest name.
