Poloniex launches token sale platform, along with token sale for Tron’s new decentralized stablecoin project
In a blog post released Sunday, Poloniex announced the launch of its new token sale platform, called LaunchBase. In addition to providing a token issuance platform, LaunchBase, will also offer advisory services to its projects.
“JUST,” Tron’s new decentralized stablecoin project, will be the first token to be issued on LaunchBase. Originally called “Djed”, when it was announced last week, JUST is a crypto collateralized stablecoin project, similar to MakerDao. TRX, will be the only eligible currency for purchases on the LaunchBase platform.
Why it matters:
- Justin Sun is beginning to make his influence felt throughout Poloniex after having recently acquired Poloniex late last year alongside other investors..
- Initial exchange offerings were hot in 1H 2019, but have since died down. As a late entrant, Poloniex now joins a handful of other exchanges that also have IEO platforms including Binance, Huobi, and OKEx.
