In an announcement, OKEx Korea has delayed its previously-announced delisting of Dash and Zcash pending further research, while maintaining delistings of the other privacy coins in named. It had previously announced the delisting of privacy coins in September due to regulatory pressure from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), citing FATF’s controversial “travel rule” for crypto asset service providers. Under the travel rule, crypto exchanges must be able to collect and disseminate relevant information for transaction monitoring such as the name and address of the sender and recipient of virtual currencies. Many privacy coins complicate this by shielding addresses.
