LBRY development update for November-December 2019

Looking back on the last couple of months in 2019 the LBRY team shipped a number of updates across the platform including:

  • An updated desktop app (0.38.0) under codename Isaac. This release included improved search, the ability to select custom wallet servers, search enhancements, navigation updates, referral changes, and more.
  • New SDK versions 0.46.0, 0.47.0, 0.48.0, 0.49.0, 0.50.0, and 0.51.0. These added new features and bug fixes.
  • SegWit thanks to a blockchain upgrade on Dec. 11, 2019. More details can be found here.
  • Enhancements to lbry.tv focused on creating a smooth and enjoyable experience for users. Updates also include support for more file types, downloads, and open-in-app URLs.
  • Updates for Android including language selection, improved display of text and images, sorting enhancements for pages, and better handling for unsupported content.
  • Changes to YouTube and creator rewards.
