Jupiter is the leading DEX liquidity aggregator on Solana, often dubbed the “Solana super app” for trading. Launched in September 2021, Jupiter initially provided best-price token swaps by routing across Solana’s fragmented DEX liquidity (Raydium, Orca, Serum/OpenBook, Saber, etc.). It has since evolved into a broad array of DeFi tools:
Spot DEX aggregator- Jupiter’s core product finds optimal routes for swaps among hundreds of Solana tokens.
DCA- Jupiter’s DCA (aka recurring) allows users to dollar cost average into a token by processing trades in regular intervals over a chosen period of time.
Perps - Jupiter Perps allow for the trading of a few assets using synthetic derivatives. Jupiter Perps uses a pooled liquidity model (similar to GMX’s GLP), with a Jupiter Liquidity Provider (JLP) index fund of SOL, ETH, wBTC, USDC, and USDT that earns 75% of trading fees and trader P&L.
JupTrenches (formerly Ape)- A memecoin terminal for traders with real-time data, signless transactions, auto-retries, and MEV-protected swaps (powered by Jito).
Launchpad - LFG (“Looking for Growth”) is Jupiter’s community-run launchpad that allows new Solana projects to debut their tokens via the Jupiter DAO. JUP stakers vote to select top projects, which then conduct token launches with Jupiter’s support. The launchpad takes a fee of 1% of the project’s token supply, of which 75% is pooled as rewards for JUP voters (Active Staking Rewards) and 25% goes to Jupiter’s treasury.
