Japan’s SBI to pay shareholders an interim dividend-like benefit in XRP cryptocurrency

Long-time Ripple partner SBI Holdings will offer shareholders a dividend-like payout in the form of XRP ($XRP). According to the announcement the Japanese financial services firm will distribute 30 XRP to every shareholder that holds more than 100 shares of SBI Holdings. SBI partnered with Ripple last year to create a joint venture and a new app called MoneyTap which uses Ripple's xCurrent solution. While xCurrent runs on Ripple technology it does not rely on the XRP token.
