The birth, death, rebirth, second death, and ensuing re-rebirth of friend.tech (FT) has led to a proliferation of user tooling for portfolio management tools and DeFi tooling. Rapid expansion atop new platforms is typically a sign of organic interest, with examples like Base and Worldcoin building on the OP Stack and standing out. Potentially organic interest is the basis for lasting interest, so friend.tech’s expanding ecosystem is a positive sign for its lasting growth.
In addition to the tooling being built on FT, there are also a few mini experiments that users have been playing around with worth monitoring. Lastly, a number of forks have spun up on different chains, most of which are nearly identical, but some of which have some degree of product differentiation. We’ve aggregated all of these below.

Frenbot and Friend Finder are two of the most notable FT-native portfolio management tools we found. Both allow users more granular ways to search for new accounts, with Frenbot taking a telegram native, Unibot-style approach. Frenbot allows users to multi-buy keys, screen and auto-buy keys based on custom criteria, and more. The ability to access it was initially gated to keyholders of 0xCaptainLevi, the self-proclaimed “Mr. Beast of Friend.Tech” and one of the top accounts on the platform.

On the heels of those platforms, Unibot launched its own integration. Strategically, it makes sense, considering it already has an easily portable product toolkit and a semi-established user base. Moreover, friend.tech’s daily active users range between 10,000-20,000. That’s ten times the size of Unibot’s DAUs, which is trending downwards into the sub-1,000 range. The potential for market expansion should be highly valuable from Unibot’s perspective. On top of the user count advantages, friend.tech pulls in ~$1 million in fees daily.
