Scalability is worth billions within the crypto space. A nearly countless sum of Layer-1, Layer-2, and even Layer-3 networks have collectively raised billions of dollars every year to try and tackle the scalability problem. The network that solves that problem will hold one of the biggest keys to chasm-crossing adoption moving forward.
At the core of the problem lies validator node-to-node communications. Validator clients (the software the crypto validators run) power crypto networks – without a group of distributed servers collaborating to execute and verify the transfer of information, there is no crypto. This isn’t a problem for Web2. Nearly every centralized server and database system can easily scale to millions of users. When there’s effectively only one node, scalability isn’t an issue.
