Centrifuge is emerging as a core platform for RWA tokenization, building the rails that connect TradFi with DeFi. By opening access to institutional-grade funds onchain, it delivers liquidity and transparency to markets that have long been opaque. Despite rapid growth, the market has largely overlooked Centrifuge, creating a compelling value opportunity. With strong catalysts ahead and a reasonable valuation, it offers a high conviction way to gain exposure to the RWA narrative.
Centrifuge was founded in 2017 and launched as a Polkadot Parachain in 2022. The goal was to bring trade finance onchain. Trade finance proved slow to scale. It was held back by regulatory hurdles, long sales cycles, and limited investor appetite. Polkadot also struggled to attract the liquidity and developer base needed for institutional-grade products.
By 2025, Centrifuge realized that the real opportunity was powering the broader market for tokenized RWAs. Unlocking this required access to the depth and liquidity of Ethereum’s capital markets. In July 2025 the protocol completed its migration to the EVM and launched Centrifuge V3 across six major chains. These included Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Avalanche, BNB and Plume.
With this move Centrifuge became a chain-agnostic platform for tokenized vaults, giving asset managers the tools to launch funds onchain and offering investors streamlined access to diversified RWAs. Its vault framework separates asset issuance, investor onboarding, and liquidity provisioning, enabling efficient deployment across multiple chains.
The design also offers flexibility to scale further, with Solana already live alongside EVM integrations. Centrifuge additionally leverages Proof-of-Asset and Proof-of-Index technologies to link onchain tokens with verified offchain data, ensuring transparency and trust for institutional investors.
