🍴 Cardano 1.5 successfully launched on mainnet
Cardano ($ADA) has successfully completed the mainnet launch of its Ouroboros Genesis upgrade, Cardano 1.5. The non-contentious hardfork moves the blockchain to a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchain with comparable security to Proof-of-Work (PoW) systems, the first of its kind. Ouroborus Genesis moves Cardano towards the highly anticipated Shelley protocol upgrade.
