👓 [Analysis] Analyzing Ethereum Classic with Google BigQuery - Yaz Khoury

Google Cloud's BigQuery, a search interface for blockchain data, has added Ethereum Classic's ($ETC) state, opening up new ways for on-chain data analysis. Decentralization can be quantified by placing BiQuery data into mathematical models. The Gini coefficient, for example, reflects the concentration of wealth in a particular area and can be readily used to show the dispersion of token holdigns. After the infamous DAO attack, which spurred the hardfork between Ethereum ($ETH) and ETC, the Gini coefficient rose 13% for ETC while ETH's fell across the 10,000 wealthiest holders, indicating higher adoption of the hardfork over the old chain.
