Aion network launches first blockchain virtual machine on Java

Blockchain network Aion ($AION) has launched a new virtual machine on top of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM). According to the team, this makes Aion the first blockchain virtual machine available to Java developers. The Aion Virtual Machine (AVM), software that can interact with the underlying JVM, is meant to increase accessibility for blockchain developers given Java's popularity.
