Following weeks of criticism around the freezing of accounts by the EOS ($EOS) Core Arbitration Forum (ECAF) Block.one has announced a proposal to re-write the network's core governance. Block.one CTO Dan Larimer recently published a blog post on behalf of the organization asking users to adopt a new constitution to mitigate the reputational damage done by the ECAF. In a Telegram chat, Larmier stated, "damage to [the] community from ECAF is greater than funds we hope to restore to users." While Block.one wrote the initial code for EOS it recently relinquished oversight of the network, meaning that token holders will be responsible for voting on any changes. Block.one will still have a say in the matter, as the company holds 10% of the total token supply.
