ZKM is an open-source infrastructure project focused on integrating zero-knowledge proof (zk-proof) technologies with blockchain to enhance security and scalability. The project's core product, zkMIPS, is a zero-knowledge virtual machine designed to support secure and efficient computation and to make Ethereum a universal settlement layer for both blockchain and non-blockchain applications. ZKM aims to address key challenges in blockchain interoperability and scalability by using technologies such as Hybrid Rollups and zk-proofs to optimize Layer 2 networks, ensuring instant transaction confirmations and secure, flexible withdrawals. The project is also exploring potential applications in decentralized finance (DeFi), Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud computing.
