U2U Network (also known as Unicorn Ultra Network) is a blockchain platform focused on providing scalability solutions through its EVM-compatible chain and Helios consensus algorithm. It supports up to 72,000 transactions per second and offers decentralized services including private networks, identity verification, IoT integration, storage, micro-payments, and data mining. The U2U ecosystem facilitates the development of decentralized applications and services.

History

U2U Network, originally known as Unicorn Ultra, was founded in 2023. The company is headquartered in Hanoi, Vietnam, and began building its DAG-based L1 infrastructure targeting scalable DePIN applications soon after inception.

In 2023, U2U launched the Nebulas Testnet. In August 2023, the Solaris Mainnet went live, showcasing the Helios Consensus, designed for high transaction throughput and security. Between 2023 and 2024, the team developed its DAG-based modular L1 with EVM compatibility and subnet technology. The ecosystem began building out dApps for DePIN (decentralized VPN, privacy solutions, and Real-World Data. In early 2024, U2U released the U2U Super App, enabling interaction with the U2U ecosystem and quickly gaining thousands of downloads. Shortly after, U2U launched U2DPN, a decentralized private network leveraging the subnet technology, transforming ordinary devices into contributor nodes to democratize internet access and enhance privacy. By July 2024, U2U rebranded to "Unleash the Utopia" reflecting its vision of an ideal, forward-thinking ecosystem.

Between September and October 2024, the team initiated exclusive incentivized mainnet campaign in partnership with CoinList. Furthermore, major hackathons and community events in Vietnam and Singapore catalyzed local and global engagement. After an initial public token sale round, where the team was able to raise $350K in a Public Token Sale funding round announced on November 12th, 2024. By the end of the month, U2U Network raised an additional $13.8M in a Series A funding round, with notable backers such as KuCoin Ventures, Chain Capital, and IDG Blockchain, among others.

In January 2025, the team announced Zenith - a state-of-the-art privacy solution harnessing the U2DPN Infrastructure, designed to provide seamless and secure internet access for users across the globe. Furthermore, in Q1 2025, U2U partnered to Bitget for campaign growth, announced an integration with Cicada for liquidity, and Cointelegraph for media partnerships. In February 2025, U2U leadership performed on ETHDenver2025, solidifying the protocol’s global market presence.

By May 2025, U2U announced a strategic partnership with Crossmint, a leading infrastructure provider dedicated to simplifying the development and deployment of on-chain applications.

In June 2025, Chloe Phung took the role of CEO to strengthen U2U’s foundation as a digital infrastructure “Make in Vietnam,” built to serve Vietnam and the world. By August, the team participated in VietBUIDL Hackathon 2025, where key industry leaders highlighted Vietnam’s progress, including the successful development of a Vietnamese-built Layer-1 blockchain by U2U team, demonstrating the country’s technical capabilities.

In October, the U2U token was listed on the Kraken exchange, marking a major step towards U2U’s global expansion, bringing the project to millions of users worldwide.
