The SwiftCash team aims to improve on the energy consumption of blockchains like Bitcoin while delivering the same security and daily transactional use. SwiftCash utilizes the green protocol, an energy-efficient Proof-of-Stake algorithm, inspired by Bitcoin Green, and originally developed by Peercoin developers, can be mined on any computer and does not require specialized mining equipment
