Signata protects user identities with their hardware-based key and its IdGAF- Identity Guard & Anonymity Framework, an on-and-off-chain solution for mordern online identity management. Signata users can remain anonymous when they are authenticated and authorized by service providers. With the core capabilities of Yubikeys, Signata is able to be brought into more integrations with idenitificatio and authentication systems, moving these off-chain systems onto blockchains rather than simply on-chain interaction.
The project started off in 2017 by its founders at Congruent Labs when they were working on crypto wallet product using Yubikeys for key storage. The team found out that the Yubikey's unexportable smartcard capability to store the wallet keys is a perfect way for the use in authentification, authorization, and identity acess. Therefore, the team gradually transitioned to identity management and leveraged their extensive experience in building authentification cryptography, identity management systems, and data management enterprise solutions for high level clients.
On the centralized web, big companies store your personalized information and resell them to other parties interested in utilizing user data for commercial profit, and they can also easily block user access to any portals. These conglomerates having immersive amount of control over user data generates deep public concern. Signata allows users to own and control their information, which empowers them to decide when and how their information is accessed, having verification proof on Blockchain, using Yubikeys, and taking away the process of identity capturing occuring for log-in and payments.
SATA was minted on Ethereum and its fixed supply is 100million. SATA token will be used for paying for services provided by identity providers, such as identity creation, proof issuance, access to applications, or validations. Rather than rescind control to a centralized party, users will be offered services by many individual service providers. Signata is currently under its way to building its identity ecosystem, thus looking for integration with more chains other than the EVM compatible.
