Rangers Protocol is a virtual world's blockchain infrastructure. It is a high-performance engine for complex development and data migration. Rangers Protocol is fully compatible with Ethereum, professionally supports NFT and complex applications, and integrates and expands cross-chain, NFT, EVM, and distributed network protocols.
Incubated by MixMarvel in 2018, Rangers Protocol (formerly Rocket Protocol) is a blockchain infrastructure consisting of a Rangers Engine and a Rangers Connector, supporting the NFT and complex applications development and data cross-chain, respectively.
In 2017, the exceptionally high gas fee caused by Ethereum's network congestion seriously affected the dapp experience of blockchain users. The MixMarvel team realized that this problem could be solved fundamentally by improving the performance of the infrastructure. Thus, Rangers Protocol was born. Its original version, Rocket Protocol 1.0, was a Layer-2 expansion solution based on Ethereum. It was applied to HyperDragons, a blockchain game incubated by MixMarvel in 2018, to solve the problem of high cost and unstable state caused by high-frequency updates in the game.
In 2019, Rocket Protocol was upgraded to version 1.5, introducing VRF+BLS consensus mechanism, node governance, multi-chain identity and DID architecture, and cross-chain technology. Rocket Protocol 1.5 was applied to HyperSnakes, another blockchain game by MixMarvel, enabling HyperSnakes to be released simultaneously on ETH, Tron, ONT, and Ant Blockchain.
Shortly after the Rocket Protocol 1.5 release, the team realized that the Layer-2 expansion solution no longer solved the ever-increasing market problems. What the market needed was a comprehensive solution that could support not only the development of complex applications but also the cross-chain of data and assets. Therefore, Rocket Protocol began its technology and strategy-wise comprehensive upgrade.
In 2021, Rocket Protocol was upgraded to Rangers Protocol. After implementing cross-chain and EVM-compatible technologies in a totally decentralized manner, Rangers Protocol began to change its strategy. With the current fully open ecosystem, Rangers Protocol serves developers from various fields who comply with the Rangers spirit core and want to make achievements in the blockchain.
