About

Particle Network is a modular Layer-1 blockchain designed to simplify Web3 by enabling users to operate across multiple blockchains with a single universal account and balance. It uses chain abstraction technology to unify wallets, liquidity, and gas fees, eliminating the need for users to manage multiple wallets or bridge assets. Its native token, PARTI, supports transaction fees, staking, and governance.

History

Particle Network was co-founded by Pengyu Wang and Tao Pan in April 2022, initially positioned as a wallet abstraction and onboarding stack rather than a standalone L1. Particle Network has raised $25M across four rounds, with notable investors including Spartan Group, Gumi Crypto, Animoca Ventures, LongHash Ventures, and Alibaba Group.

In April 2023, the team partnered with MAP Protocol to enhance interoperability and empower developers.

In May 2024, Particle Network’s incentivized L1 testnet launched, offering point rewards through the Particle Pioneer platform. Particle Network’s mainnet launch is slated for the second half of 2024. By mid‑2022, external reviews were already describing its “Universal Accounts” concept - “1000 Chains, One Account" - indicating that the chain abstraction vision dates back to the project’s earliest phase. Furthermore, the team also partnered with Biconomy to release a Multi-Party Computation (MPC) and Account Abstraction (AA or ERC4337) solution for Web3 wallet developers.

By January 2025, Particle Network released UniversalX V2, upgrading its chain-agnostic trading platform with advanced features. The update introduced real-time token discovery tools, customizable live charts, portfolio tracking, and qualitative token data, while preserving gasless, single-account cross-chain trading. Additionally in the same month, Taker Protocol announced planned to integrate Particle Network’s Universal Accounts to push toward a chain-abstracted liquidity layer. As a Bitcoin-native, EVM-compatible protocol, Taker aims to remove bridging constraints and unify liquidity between the Bitcoin and Ethereum ecosystems. Furthermore, Singularity Finance also partnered with Particle Network to integrate Universal Accounts into its AI-centric L2 ecosystem. The upgrade supports seamless user access to DeFi, real-world assets, and AI services while promoting interoperability within the broader Singularity Finance ecosystem. Additionally, Ta-da also announced its planned integration of Universal Accounts to streamline access to its micro-tasking platform for AI data collection. The integration enables seamless cross-chain participation for users contributing human-generated data to train AI models.

In February 2025, Galaxis revealed its upcoming integration of Universal Accounts to simplify onboarding and enable user interactions within its creator and community platform. The upgrade would eliminate manual wallet switching and improve accessibility across multiple blockchains. At the same month, Trikon also shared its planned integration of Universal Accounts to deliver a more cohesive, chain-abstracted user experience. The initiative aligns with Trikon’s broader effort to remove ecosystem fragmentation and enhance dApp usability.

In March 2025, Tanssi announced its planned integration of Universal Accounts, Universal Liquidity, and Universal Gas to embed native chain abstraction into networks built on Tanssi’s modular infrastructure. The integration advances Tanssi’s goal of reducing infrastructure complexity for developers while delivering a streamlined multichain experience for users. Furthermore, Particle Network announced an integration of Everclear, a cross-chain clearing and settlement protocol, to enable efficient liquidity rebalancing within Universal Accounts, starting with UniversalX. The integration reduced rebalancing costs by over 90% across Base, BNB Chain, Solana, and other supported networks. By March 2025 the team also launched its native token, PARTI. Quickly after, PARTI was listed on numerous exchanges, including Binance, OKX, Bybit, MEXC, Bitget, and Gate.io.

In July, the team announced the public release of Particle Network’s Universal SDK, enabling developers to create chain-agnostic Web3 applications.

By September, Particle Network launched on Avalanche, enabling cross-chain interoperability, allowing users to access dApps and assets across multiple chains with a single account, without manual bridging or native gas tokens. At the same time, PointPay listed a few notable assets, among which was also PARTI.
