Byteball is an open-source project built as an Direct Acyclic Graph (DAG) instead of a blockchain data structure like Bitcoin and Ethereum. The Byteball DAG circulates a native asset (called ‘bytes’) as a native means of value transfer and transaction verification for the data stored and assets issued on the Byteball DAG. The core Byteball development team aims to optimize for Layer 1 scalability and secure smart contract development
