Nodle provides “last mile” support for IoT devices through connections to smartphones. This results in a crowdsourced decentralized IoT network.The mobile phone internet access is transmitted via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to Internet of Thing (IoT) devices.

History

Nodle has two main products:

1. Nodle Cash app - This works for iOS & Android phones where users are rewarded when their phone acts effectively as a IoT relay.
2. Nodle SDK - Aimed at app developers this offers an alternative monetization strategy via effectively turning the app into the Nodle Cash app running in the background. As the Nodle is built on Parity Substrate it is possible to become a Parachain enabling interoperability with other blockchains.

In the future "Smart Missions" which give specific NODL bounties for IoT are planned to be introduced, for example visit a certain IoT device and wait until its firmware has been updated. This is a win-win for the network and the NODL users.
