About

NDAU is an adaptive digital currency optimized for a long-term store of value with staking income and a goal of buoyancy. Stablecoins don't drop in value but they also don't go up. Buoyant objects rise to the top, and NDAU has the freedom to rise while mitigating downside volatility. Intrinsic to the architecture of NDAU are self-determining features which provide governance, stability, and dependability.

History

In 2015, an anonymous group of early bitcoin enthusiasts and experts from world-class institutions including MIT, Columbia University, Carnegie Mellon, New York University, University of Chicago, and Goldman Sachs who specialize in fields including economics, monetary policy, cryptography, and computer science came together to discuss the largest barriers to mainstream crypto adoption for long term holding. This group later became the NDAU Collective. The NDAU Collective identified 23 different issues with cryptocurrencies today, and highlighted three key issues that needed a solution: volatility, dependability, and governance. The NDAU Collective believed these were the three largest barriers to using crypto as a long term store of value for both institutions and individuals.

NDAU was designed to directly address the challenges of cryptocurrency volatility, dependability, and governance. The Axiom Foundation was subsequently established as the creator of NDAU and contracted Oneiro to build the software envisioned by the NDAU Collective. Using venture capital funding provided by COSIMO Ventures, Oneiro has been developing the native blockchain and tools that are necessary for NDAU’s decentralized ecosystem.

Established on March 20, 2018, The Axiom Foundation is an Isle of Man Foundation. It is registered with the Isle of Man Financial Regulator and operates in accordance with Isle of Man Privacy and Data Protection regulations. The Axiom Foundation is responsible for holding the reserve of (initially 30 million not including the 10 million for ecosystem alignment incentives or EAI purposes), issuing new minted from its reserve of as directed by the blockchain policy council or BPC (that is elected by the holders of) and receives funds/assets from the issuance of which are held in its endowment. The endowment is managed by up to three fund managers as directed by the Foundation. It is used primarily to support the monetary policies of pursuant to a published, formulaic floor price for or in general to mitigate currency attacks. EAI are awarded to holders of in line with monetary policy through the protocol as guided by the BPC.

NDAU did not conduct an ICO, IEO or token pre-sale. All NDAU has been and continues to be purchased on NDAU’s bonding curve. Aspects related to NDAU’s monetary policy, governance and dependability are embedded within the NDAU blockchain which uses the open source Tendermint Core for its delegated Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm. NDAU Testnet launched in September 2018, and Mainnet went live in May 2019. Nearly $17M of NDAU was sold to accredited investors based on the merits and principles of the project prior to the launch of NDAU on its first exchange (BitMart) in May 2019.
