Meson Network operates a cloud based decentralized bandwidth trading platform for Web3, that uses blockchain to integrate spare bandwidth and provide data transmission for Web 3.0 infrastructure such as Arweave and IPFS.
With growth in adoption of streaming media the demand for bandwidth has grown exponentially leading to higher costs for the limited bandwidth. Meson solves this problem by utilizing idle server bandwidth in turn reducing cost to consumer. By acting as an abstracted cache layer with the power to provide bandwidth to storage layer projects such as IPFS and Arweave, the project aims to disrupt the dominance of major players such as AWS and Azure by offering a P2P bandwidth marketplace on Web3.
Since January 2021, Meson has launched support for two storage layer projects - IPFS and Arweave, and tested its token incentive system. The project is targeting a Mainnet launch on Ethereum by early 2022.
