History

Hatch is an open source peer-to-peer cryptocurrency with a focus on the payments industry. Hatch builds for anonymous, portable, inexpensive and fast payments. Based on the Bitcoin project, the Hatch core development team aims to design the most user-friendly and scalable blockchain-based payments system.

Hatch currently also includes a second-layer network of masternodes to facilitate instant transactions (InstantSend), private transactions (PrivateSend) and governance functions.
