Guild of Guardians is a company that provides a blockchain-based gaming platform that allows users to participate in a fantasy multiplayer game. History

Guild of Guardians aims to be one of the most popular RPGs that includes a NFT trading economy. The game is being developed since early 2020 by mobile game development studio Stepico Games while Immutable is overseeing its production. The team consists of 20 full-time employees and plans to release the final version of the game by 2023 on IOS and Android.

Players can create a team of heroes and bring them into dungeons to fight. Heroes can belong to three different Factions (Horde, Empire and Glade) and have three Classes (Ranger, Melee and Mage), five Elements (Earth, Fire, Water, Dark, Light) and four Rarity (Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary). These characteristics give them unique sets of properties influencing their strengths and weaknesses. In addition, players can equip them with Equipments and use Energy Boosters to increase their abilities.

The game relies on ‘play-to-earn’ incentives to economically reward players for their contributions to the game world. Unlike many other existing NFT games, players in Guild of Guardians can play for free. Free players can earn common heroes (not tradable) and merge several of them into higher rarity heroes (tradable). By completing challenges, players earn rewards and can use them on upgrading their heroes or crafting rare items that can be sold for real money.
