Forte offers an end-to-end solution enabling enterprises to build and scale token economies in games. Forte's white-label platform enables game developers to leverage blockchain technology to create token assets, introduce new revenue streams, and develop creative designs.

History

Forte was founded in early 2018 and is operated by a team of veterans from the video game industry (GarageGames, ngmoco, Riot Games, EA, Sony, and Rockstar Games among others). Forte aims to address the growing economic misalignment between developers, players, and others in the gaming ecosystem. The misalignment has resulted in unsustainable business models for developers, poor player experiences, and a fan community that is often at odds with the games they support.

Through blockchain technology, Forte's platform enables the emergence of what it calls "community economics," a system where the interests of all participants are aligned, leading to healthier, sustainable game communities. Its end-to-end platform focuses on aspects vital for developers and token economies including ease of use, seamless UX, maximal liquidity and demand, and full legal and regulatory compliance.

The organization was publicly announced in the weeks leading into the 2019 Game Developers Conference, where it privately introduced its platform to select game studios. Forte also announced a $100M developer fund in partnership with Ripple to transition existing games to token assets and economies, as well as create bespoke blockchain-native experiences.

Over the course of the next year, Forte unveiled a number of developer partners integrating its platform including game industry pioneers Will Wright (The Sims, SimCity) and Jeff Tunnell (Starsiege: Tribes), Hi-Rez Studios (Smite, Paladins), Penrose (Arden's Wake, Allumette), and Kongregate.

In May of 2021, Forte raised $185M in Series A funding led by Griffin Gaming Partners. In addition, Forte announced that 25+ game developers are currently integrating its platform, that it has 8M+ monthly active users, and has generated over 10M+ user wallets. Forte has not launched a public token.
