History

In July 2021, Forta secured $23 million in funding led by a16z, with participation from Blockchain Capital, Coinbase Ventures, and other top firms. The network officially launched in September 2021. Since then, the Forta community has focused on countering crypto threats, first by understanding how attacks unfold, then by developing tools that alert users and protocols to malicious behavior and block threats before any damage is done.
