Farmsent is a platform to connect farmers directly with buyers. Built on the Polygon blockchain and integrated with the peaq network, it operates as a decentralized marketplace primarily for B2B and B2C transactions. Its core feature is a transparent supply chain system that records each step of a product’s journey, using blockchain technology.
Key products include Fair Future Contracts (FFC), which allow farmers to secure sales at current market prices rather than fixed rates set in advance, and NFT-based bidding, enabling buyers to bid on produce transparently. The platform eliminates intermediaries, aiming to increase farmers’ profits and provide buyers with direct access to goods.
In December 2022 Beanboat and Farmsent merged to create the world’s first farmers blockchain. The merger combined Beanboat’s network of Colombian coffee farmers and MENA clients with Farmsent’s Web3 technology and global presence.
In April 2023, Farmsent received official registration in Indonesia, enabling onboarding of millions of farmers to Web3 and launching pilot projects for on-chain agricultural trade.
In January 2024, Farmsent signed MOU with The Belt and Road Initiative, Chinese government’s flagship project.
In April 2024, Farmsent partnered with Varda to promote nature-positive food systems. Furthermore, the team also partnered with Peaq in May 2024 for decentralized food trade leveraging DePIN infrastructure.
Throughout 2025, Farmsent advanced its product passport (DePP), decentralized auction, and transparent trade financing features.
