About

Falcon Finance is a synthetic asset protocol that issues overcollateralized USDf using stablecoins and crypto assets as collateral. It supports sUSDf as a yield-bearing variant, with returns driven by funding rate arbitrage, staking, and cross-exchange strategies, emphasizing transparency and risk management.

History

Falcon Finance was conceived in response to a growing demand for sustainable yield opportunities in the DeFi space. The project's foundation lies in the synthesis of CeFi security measures with decentralized finance's liquidity and composability, establishing a hybrid CeDeFi model. Founded under the leadership of Andrei Grachev, a fintech and cryptocurrency veteran associated with DWF Labs, Falcon Finance was formally launched. Shortly after launch, Falcon Finance entered a Closed Beta phase in March 2025.

The protocol operates with a dual-token system: USDf, the synthetic stablecoin, and sUSDf, a yield-bearing token issued when USDf is staked. Users can also opt for fixed-term staking, locking sUSDf for enhanced yields represented by staking NFTs. Alongside this, Falcon Finance maintains strong risk management through multi-party computation technology and multi-signature schemes, supporting security and compliance with mandatory KYC and AML requirements.

By July 2025, Falcon Finance secured a $10M investment from World Liberty Financial, aimed at advancing platform capabilities and regulatory compliance.

September 2025 marked the release of the FF governance token, facilitating decentralized decision-making and incentivizing protocol participation. The protocol aims to bridge onchain and offchain liquidity and cater to diverse actors including retail users, DAOs, centralized exchanges, and institutions. Its cross-chain architecture employs technologies such as zk-Rollups on Ethereum and Solana's high-throughput infrastructure, supporting scalability and cost efficiency.

A subsequent $10M raise occurred in October from additional strategic backers like Cypher Capital Group and M2 Capital. Concurrently, Falcon Finance worked on establishing an onchain insurance fund with a $10M initial investment to mitigate risks associated with synthetic asset management and market volatility.

In November 2025, the Falcon Finance Staking Vaults were released, marking the newest expansion of Falcon’s Earn product suite, introducing a third pathway for users to earn - users can now deposit the assets they already hold and earn USDf directly, while continuing to benefit from the assets they hold. In addition, the team also announced the addition of Centrifuge’s real-world credit token JAAA as eligible collateral to mint USDf.
