History

Exergy is an open-source project designed to enable energy consumers to permission and monetize their data. Energy data is converted into the native asset of the Exergy network and is created to be the base layer of a new energy stack focused on customer data control. Exergy’s peer-to-peer network incentivizes participants to prioritize data transfers and connections between peers based on the quantity Exergy tokens staked to registered public key.

Exergy is an open-source project to be governed by an independent non-profit entity, the Exergy Foundation. Development efforts have been incubated by LO3 Energy, Inc.
