Launched in April 2018, Energi is a Proof of Stake (PoS) cryptocurrency featuring decentralized governance, masternodes, and a treasury that funds a team of professionals.

History

Energi was started by Tommy Power on July 4, 2017 with the mission to create a smart contract blockchain network with decentralized governance capabilities. Energi was originally self-funded and developed by its founding team and launched publicly on April 14th, 2018.

Energi is currently redesigning its codebase so that the network will be able to utilize smart contracts.
