About

DIA is a company that provides cross-chain oracles for Web3. They offer a range of services including price feeds for digital assets, customizable floor price feeds for NFT collections, multi-chain randomness for DeFi and GameFi dApps, and the ability to build tailor-made oracles for dApps. DIA's oracles are sourced from multiple markets on various networks and can be fully customized for each use case. The company is committed to transparency and open-source principles. They are trusted by a growing ecosystem of partners and developers.

History

DIA or Decentralized Information Asset is a financial data oracle. It was launched in 2018 and underwent Outlier Venture’s Base Camp Accelerator. Two years later, DIA introduced their token via an initial coin offering in August 2020. The DIA token is responsible for governance over the protocol and gains control over it as DIA aims to become fully decentralized by 2023. DIA was originally introduced as an ERC20 token, but now has also become available as a BEP-20 token on Binance Smart Chain (BSC). Since the inception of DIA, the project has continually aimed to expand to offer oracles on as many chains as possible, these include but are not limited to: xDAI, Polygon, Injective, Moonriver, Acala, BSC, Arbitrum, Celo, Avalanche, Near and Nervos.

DIA has aggressively expanded across a multitude of chains in order to solve one key problem, the sourcing of scalable, trustworthy and reputable data sources. DIA aims to support all DeFi applications on all chains by providing them with quality data sources that are not able to be manipulated or exploited. DIA provides open-source, transparent data and oracle infrastructure for all of their supported chains. This data may come from both on-chain and off-chain sources. Project building may deploy smart contracts to connect and access these data sources for their own personal use. DIA harnesses the power of its community via a reward mechanism to ensure data being submitted is valid and trustworthy. The reward mechanism functions by offering users who challenge the validity of data, the potential to earn DIA tokens if they are able to confirm the data submitted is wrong.
