Dev Protocol is a middleware protocol to incentivize value creation and strengthen the incentive model of stakeholders. Currently, Dev Protocol is integrated into Github to allow developers to monetize their open source software. Token holders stake DEV for projects they support which mints DEV for the staker and creator based on current APY.

History

Dev Protocol was conceived in Tokyo, Japan in 2018 to solve the value gap problem that open source creators face. In 2020, Dev Protocol received a seed round from Miraise and Monex Ventures to expand the team. In June Dev Protocol launched the beta test with OSS projects such as Chalk and VueJS joined. Dev Protocol plans on having a token sale in Q4 2020/ Q1 2021 with CoinList.
